Brand Strategy

Challenge: The challenge faced by NBCUniversal LXTV was to transition its brand image from LXTV to LX News. This rebranding required a new logo identity that accurately represented the new brand while being fresh and modern. In addition to creating a new logo, the channel required brand ID spots and campaign promos to promote the new brand and its programming.

Solution: As a brand strategist and producer at NBCUniversal LXTV, I worked with the creative team to develop a new logo identity that accurately represented the new LX News brand. This involved extensive market research and understanding the target audience. After analyzing the data, we created a new logo identity that was modern and fresh, while also representing the core values and vision of the brand. The logo was designed to be easily recognizable across different platforms and devices, including television, social media, and mobile apps. Once the new logo was finalized, I created a range of brand ID spots, including 10-second, 15-second, 20-second, and 30-second versions, to promote the new brand identity across different platforms. These id spots were designed to be engaging and visually appealing, while also promoting the brand's key values. Furthermore, I was responsible for creating a series of campaign promos that highlighted compelling news stories and resonated with the target audience. For instance, I created Thanksgiving and Mental Health promos that showcased the unique and compelling content that the brand had to offer. To stay ahead of the game, I also kept a close eye on the news cycle, regularly tracking trending content to develop new strategies for promos. By staying up-to-date with the latest news and trends, I was able to develop effective strategies that helped the channel keep promos up to date.

Results: The new brand identity and promotional campaigns were well-received by the target audience, resulting in increased brand recognition, higher engagement rates, and improved ratings.
